How to Measure Your Head for a Lace Wig

Before beginning, if you have hair you must flatten it. You will want to have your hair prepared as you will be wearing it under the wig for an accurate measurement. Use a cloth tape measure or string to ensure accuracy. Take several measurements to make sure your previous measurements are accurate. Accuracy is key for a proper lace wig fit. Measure just a little beyond your own natural hairline.

Cap Size (measured in inches) SMALL SMALL-MEDIUM MEDIUM-LARGE LARGE Circumference MEASURE:  Starting at your natural hairline in front, follow your hairline to just above your ear. Measure around the back to the bend in your neck, just above your other ear, then around front to where you began. This is your ciecumferece measurement as illustrated in the 1 diagram. 21 21.5/22 22.5/23 23+ Front to Nape MEASURE: From front hairline center to back of neck hairline edge center (take this measurement with your head down facing your feet). 14.5 14.5 15 15.5 Ear to Ear across Forehead MEASURE: From ear to ear across the forehead 11.5 12 12.5 13 Ear to Ear over Top MEASURE: From ear to ear over the top of the head (where the hairline starts) 12.5 12.5 13 13.2 Temple to Temple around Back MEASURE: From temple to temple (where the hairline starts) around the back of the head.  15.3 15.3 15.5 16 Nape MEASURE: Width of neck hairline at the back This is done by holding the tape across the bottom of the hairline at the edge of the neck.
